Apple and UDID…
I’m not one to stand in the way of progress, but what Apple is doing by preventing iOS apps from using the UDID number is a good thing. It’s to bad a few bad apples (no pun intended) spoil it for the rest of us, but in this case I could see the use of the UDID growing into a normal thing if not stopped.
Also…for app developers, stop doing tricky stuff and just out right ask device users if you can do specific things with their data. You might be surprised by how many say “yes”…and at the same time if they say “no”, so be it…it’s their data.
