Apple and UDID...
I’m not one to stand in the way of progress, but what Apple is doing by preventing iOS apps from using the UDID number is a good thing. It’s to bad a few bad apples (no pun intended) spoil it for the rest of us, but in this case I could see the use of the UDID growing into a normal thing if not stopped.
Also…for app developers, stop doing tricky stuff and just out right ask...

The “but” is interesting because the real (or more innovative) Windows tablets have yet to start shipping. Meaning Microsoft could have a perception edge over Apple and iOS with the majority of folks. Will this be enough to shift the purchase time decision from Apple/iOS...
